NOAKHALI, Aug 24, 2025 (BSS) – Islami Andolan Bangladesh (IAB) Amir Mufti Syed Muhammad Rezaul Karim, Charmonai Pir, today said the July Uprising has created new opportunities for the nation.

“If we fail to utilise this opportunity . . . the future generations will curse us,” he told a gathering of the Ulema and a public rally at the Bengal Convention Hall in Noakhali’s Chowmuni here today.

The IAB Amir added: “Thousands of mothers and families suffered in the July Uprising; many people became victims of blindness and paralysis.”

Charmonai Pir highlighted the importance of Islam as the main force of the country and the role of Ulema-e-Keram.

“In the 54 years of independence, various vested interests have repeatedly deceived the nation. During elections, they appear before the common people in the guise of patriots and religious people, but when they come to power, they make the country a 'champion' through corruption,” he observed.

Pir Saheb Charmonai also mentioned that the fascist rulers became billionaires and siphoned off huge sums abroad, but due to the anger of the people, they too had to flee.

“Therefore, history will not forgive them if they deceive the nation after assuming office,” he added.

District President Hafez Maulana Nazir Ahmed chaired the rally.
