Country can be freed from poverty within 5 years, if get mandate: Jamaat Ameer

DHAKA, Sept 13, 2025 (BSS) – Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr Shafiqur Rahman today said the country can be changed positively within five years, if the party gets people mandate.

“If the people give mandate to the party, it is possible to free the country from hunger and poverty within five years,” he said at a rally organized by Kafrul Paschim (Wesy) thana at a auditorium here.

The Jamaat-e-Islam is waging movement for long to establish a society of justice and equity, he said adding that the struggle will continue until the final victory is achieved. 

“We have been waging a long movement to transform the country into a new Bangladesh free from discrimination, corruption, misrule, and crime. The main goal of our movement is to establish peace and justice in society,” he added.

In this context, he said Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami is determined to establish a just society in which all citizens, regardless of religion, caste, or tribe, can enjoy their constitutional rights. We want to establish a society in which all basic human rights are guaranteed, he added.

With Central Working Council Member and Dhaka City North Nayeb-e-Ameer Abdur Rahman Musa in the chair, the programme was attended, among others, by Central Working Council Member (Dhaka City North) Secretary Dr Muhammad Rezaul Karim, Labour Welfare Federation Central Vice-President Laskar Mohammad Taslim and Dhaka City North Working Council Member Shah AlamTuhin.
