CHATTOGRAM, September 15, 2025 (BSS) - The Chattogram Shah Amanat International Airport (CSAIA) authorities have returned an abandoned luggage to its owner, an Indonesian citizen, after 12 days of hectic search.

Talking to BSS today, CSAIA Public Relations Officer Eng. Md Ibrahim Khalil said the luggage with valuable goods was found in an abandoned condition at the parking lot of the airport on August 30 and concerned security personnel handed it over to the relevant department.

The authorities later found out that the lost baggage is of Indonesian citizen A Mokhammad, also a crew of foreign vessel who flew from Dhaka to Chattogram for getting into the foreign vessel berthed at Chattogram seaport.

As nobody filed any complain, CSAIA security official Md Badshah contacted Indonesian embassy in Dhaka through local Foreign Ministry officials.

In the meantime, he could have contacted A Mokhammad on social media.

Later, the Indonesian citizen formally submitted an application, following which the CSAIA authorities handed over the luggage to a local agent of the foreign vessel.
