Ctg Mayor put emphasis on acquiring education with moral values

CHATTOGRAM, Sept 17, 2025 (BSS) - City Mayor Dr. Shahadat Hossain laid emphasis on significance of acquiring education with moral values and greater social responsibility. 
 
The City Mayor was speaking as chief guest at an award giving and reception ceremony to the brilliant students for their outstanding results at Jamal khan Kusum Kumari City Corporation Girls High School this morning. 
 
“ It is very much imperative to develop our students with high moral values besides time befitting textbook education aiming  to build a real developed nation “ the mayor said. 
 
Dr. Shahadat called upon the authorities and students of CCC-run educational institutions to put maximum efforts on achieving good results in the public exams . 
 
 He urged the students to develop themselves as the future of the country being imbued with moral values, humanity and patriotism so that they could contribute in advancing the country. 
 Dr. Shahadat said Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was a guiding light for humanity during times of oppression, torture, and superstition.

 Health and environmental awareness programmes have been introduced in CCC-run schools with the involvement of  students .  An 'Environment Club' will be established in each school to promote environmental initiatives, including public awareness campaigns. 
The mayor called for collaborative efforts to address current social menaces like teenage gangs, drug addiction and eve-teasing, involving school authorities, parents, and local social workers. 
 
Dr. Kissinger Chakma, the Chief Education Officer of CCC, Education Officer Mosammat Rasheda Akhter, Member Secretary of Chattogram Press Club Zahidul Karim Kachi, Social Worker Manjur Rahman Chowdhury, former and incumbent members of the school governing body, among others, were present at the function .
