DHAKA, Sept 17, 2025 (BSS) – Police today arrested a drug dealer and seized a private car along with over 25 kilograms of marijuana from the Tikatuli area of the capital this morning.

The arrestee was identified as Md Rubel, 34. 

A team from Wari Police Station conducted a drive at Tikatuli intersection around 7:30 am and arrested Rubel, according to a press release.

But sensing the presence of police, another drug dealer managed to flee the scene. 

During the raid, police recovered 25 kg 900 grams of marijuana and a mobile phone after searching a private car belonging to Rubel. The seized vehicle had been used for drug transportation, the release said.

During primary interrogation, Rubel confessed that he had long been transporting marijuana from different parts of the country and selling it in the capital.

Legal action is underway against him.
