DMP files 2313 cases for traffic rule violation

DHAKA, Sept 18, 2025 (BSS) - As part of the ongoing campaign to bring traffic system under control, Dhaka Metropolitan Police's (DMP) Traffic Division has filed a total of 2323 cases against vehicles, owners and its drivers for violating traffic rules.

The DMP has been conducting campaign against traffic violations in the city aimed at bring traffic system under proper management, according to Dhaka Metropolitan Police Media and Public Relations Division statement.

Deputy Commissioner of DMP's Media and Public Relations Division Muhammad Talebur Rahman issued the statement here today.

It said that 357 motor vehicles were dumped and 102 vehicles were wrecked during the campaign against traffic rules violation during the traffic campaign against traffic rules violators on September 17.

The DMP release further said these drives against traffic rule breakers will continue to ensure discipline on Dhaka's streets.

The DMP traffic division has been working to bring traffic system under smooth in the capital for giving city dwellers easy movement.
