2-yrs imprisonment for cyber gambling offense

DHAKA, Sept 19, 2025 (BSS) – Anyone engaging in gambling, fraud, or deception in cyberspace will be punished by up to two years of imprisonment or a maximum fine of Taka 1 crore, or both, according to a provision outlined in the Cyber Security Ordinance, 2025.

This provision is outlined in Section 20 of the Cyber Security Ordinance, 2025, said the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting on Friday.
