DHAKA, Sept 19, 2025 (BSS) - Nepalese Ambassador to Bangladesh Ghanashyam Bhandari said Nepal's tourism industry has consistently shown resilience by recovering swiftly from various shocks, underlining the country's enduring appeal as a travel destination.

Speaking as a special guest at the inaugural ceremony of the 12th Asia Tourism Fair in Dhaka on Thursday, the envoy also stressed the importance of growing tourism cooperation and people-to-people exchanges between Nepal and Bangladesh.

He called for further strengthening of such linkages to ensure mutual benefits for the two close neighbours.

Nepal is participating in this year's fair as the Prime Partner Country, represented by a 16-member delegation led by the Nepal Tourism Board.

The team includes representatives from tour operators, travel agencies and hoteliers who are showcasing Nepal's diverse tourism offerings.

The Asia Tourism Fair 2025 is being held in Dhaka from September 18 to 20, bringing together tourism stakeholders from across the region to promote cross-border collaboration and highlight emerging destinations.
