Two held with sharp weapons, stolen goods in Mohammadpur

DHAKA, Dec 4, 2025 (BSS) - Police have arrested two individuals during a special operation in the capital's Mohammadpur area, seizing a large quantity of sharp weapons and stolen goods.

The arrestees have been identified as Shafiqul Islam (22) and Sharif (23). 

Police arrested the duo from Babar Road area under Mohammadpur Police Station area around 7:30 pm on Wednesday, police officials said.

They later conducted a raid at House No. 9, Road No. 7 in Adabor Shekhertek on information extracted from them and seized a large number of sharp weapons including chapatis, Chinese axes, various knives, winter jackets, loafer shoes, elevator equipment, and electronic testing devices.

According to police, the suspects admitted to using these sharp weapons to commit robberies in different parts of the city and storing the stolen goods at the location.
