DHAKA, Dec 11, 2025 (BSS)- Coast Guard and Department of Fisheries (DoF) in a joint drive seized huge banned current net and reels of thread from Doshkani and Boro Bari areas in Sadar thana of Munshiganj last night.
On a tip-off, the joint force raided in the area and seized those illegal items worth about Taka 35.44 crore, said Coast Guard Media Officer Lieutenant Commander Siam-ul-Haq.
The seized illegal nets and reels were destroyed in the presence of a senior fisheries officer.
He also said that Bangladesh Coast Guard will continue such operations in the future to protect fisheries resources.
