DHAKA, Dec 16, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh Army today paid a gun salute in honour of the valiant martyrs of the Liberation War on the occasion of the great Victory Day.

The Victory Day programme formally began at dawn with a 31-gun salute.

The gun salute was fired by six guns of an artillery regiment of the Bangladesh Army at the old airport area in Tejgaon, paying tribute to the brave martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the Great War of Liberation.

As in previous years, the Great Victory Day is being celebrated across the country with due honour, enthusiasm and festive spirit.
