DHAKA, Dec 19, 2025 (BSS) - The Dhaka University Central Students' Union (DUCSU) today expressed deep shock and sorrow over the death of Inquilab Mancha spokesperson Sharif Osman Hadi, vowing to continue a disciplined and united movement to build a country based on justice, as envisioned by the martyred leader.

In a statement signed by General Secretary SM Farhad, DUCSU urged citizens to remain engaged in a systematic, patient and disciplined struggle until the perpetrators of Hadi's assassination are brought to justice and the influence of terrorist Awami fascism and Indian hegemony is eliminated.

DUCSU also called for vigilance among the people, warning that no conspirators should be allowed to disrupt the movement for justice through violence or sabotage.

The statement further condemned the recent attacks, vandalism and arson at the offices of Prothom Alo and The Daily Star, as well as the attack on New Age editor Nurul Kabir in Dhaka.

DUCSU expressed strong protest against these incidents and reiterated its support for press freedom.
