663 more held in Operation Devil Hunt in 24hrs

DHAKA, Dec 23, 2025 (BSS) - In the ongoing nationwide Operation Devil Hunt Phase-2, the police have arrested 663 more crime suspects and seized nine firearms over the past 24 hours. 

The Police Headquarters in a statement confirmed the arrests and seizure. 

During the operation, police searched 26,008 motorcycles and 26, 573 vehicles. 

As a result of the searches, 342 illegal motorcycles were seized for violations related to registration and other legal requirements.

Authorities stated that the operation is ongoing and aims to strengthen law enforcement, improve public safety, and crack down on criminal activities.

The nationwide security drive relaunched on December 13 to curb illegal activities, recovering unlawful arms, and to strengthen law and order ahead of the upcoming national parliamentary elections.
