DHAKA, Jan 8, 2026 (BSS) - The "Adammo Jobian Oikko" panel secured Vice President (VP), General Secretary (GS) and Assistant General Secretary (AGS) along with leading positions in the Jagannath University Central Students' Union (JnUCSU) elections.

Md. Riazul Islam has been elected as VP, while Abdul Alim Arif as GS and Masud Rana as AGS from this panel.

JnUCSU Chief Election Commissioner Professor Mustafa Hasan officially announced the results on Wednesday night.

Md. Riazul Islam was elected VP with 5,558 votes, defeating AKM Rakib of the "Oikkoboddo Nirbhik Jabian" panel, who received 4,688 votes. 

Abdul Alim Arif won GS post with 5,475 votes, while his nearest rival Khadijatul Kubra of the "Oikkoboddo Nirbhik Jabian" panel polled 2,223 votes. 

Masud Rana became AGS with 5,020 votes, beating BM Atiqur Rahman Tanzil of the same rival panel, who secured 4,022 votes.

Others who won from the "Adommo Jobian Oikko" panel include Md. Nur Nabi as Liberation War and Democracy Secretary (5,400 votes), Ibrahim Khalil as Education and Research Secretary (5,524 votes), Mst Sukhimon Khatun as Science and Technology Secretary (4,486 votes), and Nur Mohammad as Health and Environment Secretary (4,470 votes). 

Habib Mohammad Faruk Azam was elected Law and Human Rights Secretary (4,654 votes), Nausheen Nawar Jaya as International Affairs Secretary (4,501 votes), Mohammad Georges Anwar Naim as Sports Secretary (3,963 votes), and Mostafizur Rahman as Social Service and Student Welfare Secretary (3,486 votes).

Meanwhile, the "Oikkoboddo Nirbhik Jabian" panel secured three secretarial posts: Takrim Mia as Literature and Culture Secretary (5,385 votes), Md. Mahid Hasan as Transport Secretary (4,023 votes), and Md. Riasal (Rakib) as Library and Seminar Secretary (4,698 votes).

Executive members elected are Fatema Akhter, Md. Aqib Hasan, Shanta Akhter, Md. Mehedi Hasan, Md. Sadman Amin (Sadman Samyo), Md. Zahid Hasan, and Md. Abdullah Al Faruk.
