Referendum leaflet to reach every household in Dhaka city

DHAKA, Jan 18, 2026 (BSS) - A leaflet titled "Yes", advocating state reforms through the February 12 referendum, will be distributed to every household in the capital.

As part of the citywide awareness campaign, drop-down banners will be displayed on high-rise buildings, billboards will be installed at key locations, visually appealing festoons will be placed on road islands and stickers will be exhibited at various establishments across the capital. 

The initiative aims to inspire city residents to cast a "Yes" vote in support of building a democratic, humane and prosperous Bangladesh.

The decision was disclosed today at a meeting held at the Dhaka office of Chief Adviser's Special Assistant Professor Ali Riaz.

Local Government Secretary Md Rezaul Maksud Jahedi, Dhaka North City Corporation Administrator Mohammad Azaz and Dhaka South City Corporation Administrator Md Mahmudul Hasan attended the meeting.

Chief Adviser's Special Assistant (Consensus) Monir Haider was also present at the meeting.
