FENI, Jan 20, 2026 (BSS) - A discussion and prayer meeting was held in the district today marking the 90th birth anniversary of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman.

The programme was organized by Parshuram Upazila BNP and its affiliated organizations at the upazila parishad auditorium in the afternoon.

Former mayor and BNP Central Executive Committee member Abu Taleb attended the event as the chief guest, while Upazila BNP convener Abdul Halim Manik presided over the programme.

The meeting was conducted by Parshuram Upazila BNP joint convener Abul Khair Liton and Municipal BNP member secretary Mahbubul Haque Majumdar.

The programme was attended, among others, by Upazila BNP member secretary Ibrahim Khalil Moni, Municipal BNP convener Kazi Yusuf Mahfuz, former Upazila BNP president Habibur Rahman Habib, Upazila BNP joint convener Advocate Abdul Alim Maksud, Municipal BNP joint convener Ahmed Azam Chowdhury Siraj, Upazila Jubo Dal convener Shamsul Alam Shakil, Upazila Swechchhasebak Dal convener Dr Shafiqul Islam and its general secretary Tarek Hossain, Upazila Chhatra Dal convener Atahar Hossain Paprul, and College Chhatra Dal convener Ismail Hossain Mridul. 

At the end of the programme, special prayers were offered, led by Maulana Emam Hossain, seeking eternal peace for the departed soul of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman.
