Free flow of information curbs corruption: CAAB Chairman

DHAKA, Jan 22, 2026 (BSS) - Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) Chairman Air Vice Marshal Md Mostafa Mahmood Siddiq today said the free flow of information plays a significant role in enhancing administrative efficiency and preventing corruption.

He made the remarks while addressing a training programme virtually as the chief guest on the Right to Information held at Osmani International Airport in Sylhet, organized by the CAAB, said a press release here. 

The chairman said the Right to Information Act is one of the most effective instruments for establishing good governance, transparency and accountability, enabling citizens to play an active role in decision-making.

He said fostering a culture of providing information through proper procedures strengthens institutional transparency and public trust, which is beneficial for all. 

He also noted that CAAB supplied publishable information through its own channels in accordance with the law, helping sustain public confidence in the authority.

Officials and employees from different levels of Osmani International Airport, Sylhet, took part in the training.
