57 held under Operation Devil Hunt Phase-2 in Dhaka

DHAKA, Jan 27, 2026 (BSS) – Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested 57 people as part of Operation Devil Hunt Phase-2, conducting day-long drives in crime-prone areas across 15 police station jurisdictions in the capital in past 24 hours. 

The arrests were made in Lalbagh, Sutrapur, Mirpur, Mohammadpur, Tejgaon, Pallabi, Khilgaon, Hazaribagh, Jatrabari, Gendaria, Sher-e-Bangla Nagar, Uttarkhan, Shahbagh and Wari. 

Deputy Commissioner of DMP Muhammad Talebur Rahman confirmed the arrests. 

Among the highest numbers, Mohammadpur Police arrested 18 individuals, followed by Shahbagh with 15 and Gendaria with six.
