DHAKA, Jan 31, 2026 (BSS) - Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr Shafiqur Rahman will visit Sreebardi upazila of Sherpur tomorrow to meet the wife and children of Rezaul Karim, who was killed in a clash between BNP and Jamaat on January 28, and offer prayers at his grave.

The Jamaat Ameer will arrive in Sreebardi at around 10:30 am to pay his tribute and hold a meeting with the bereaved family of Rezaul Karim, said a press release.

Following the visit, Dr Shafiqur Rahman will address two election rallies as the chief guest in Sherpur and Jamalpur districts.

As per the schedule, the first election rally will be held at 11:30 am in Sherpur district town, while the second rally is scheduled for 12:30 pm in Jamalpur.

After completing the programmes, the Jamaat Ameer will return to Dhaka and conduct public outreach and attend an election rally in his constituency, Dhaka-15, from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
