COX'S BAZAR, Feb 1, 2026 (BSS) - Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr Shafiqur
Rahman is scheduled to visit Cox's Bazar tomorrow (February 2) as part of the
party's election campaign.

According to party sources, Jamaat Ameer will first address a public rally in
Maheshkhali. Later, he will join another public meeting at the Muktijoddha
Maath in Cox's Bazar town.

The party has taken extensive preparations ahead of the visit.

Earlier today, a central representative team of Jamaat-e-Islami visited the
venue of the public rally at Muktijoddha Maath to inspect the ongoing
preparations.

Jamaat-e-Islami Assistant Secretary General Md Shahjahan said people are
eagerly waiting to cast their votes in favour of the party's electoral symbol
'Daripalla'.

"The presence of general voters at tomorrow's rally will be astonishing," he
told journalists.

Md Shahjahan also said that although central top leaders of the 11-party
alliance would not be able to attend the rally due to their engagement in
election-related activities elsewhere, leaders from regional and district
levels will be present.

After concluding the rallies in Maheshkhali and Cox's Bazar town, Dr Shafiqur
Rahman will proceed to Padua in Lohagara upazila of Chattogram to address
another public meeting, he added.
