Metro rail revises schedule for Ramadan

DHAKA, Feb 17, 2026 (BSS) – Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL) has announced a revised schedule for metro rail services on the occasion of the upcoming holy month of Ramadan.

According to the new schedule, metro rail services will begin at 6:30 am from Uttara Uttar Station from the first day of Ramadan until the day before Eid-ul-Fitr.

In a notification signed by Director A K M Khairul Alam and issued today, DMTCL said passengers will be allowed to carry a maximum of 250 ml of water for iftar.

The notification also stated that during Ramadan, the first train from Uttara Uttar Station to Motijheel will depart at 6:30 am, while the last train will leave at 9:30 pm.

On the other hand, the first train from Motijheel Station will depart at 7:15 am and the last train at 10:10 pm.

The schedule for Fridays, Saturdays and other public holidays will remain unchanged, the notification added.
