DHAKA, July 1, 2026 (BSS) - The treatment of the grief-stricken mother of
Ramisa, who was the victim of a brutal murder, is continuing at a specialized
hospital in the capital.

BNP Health Affairs Secretary Professor Dr Md Rafiqul Islam today visited the
hospital to inquire about her condition and spoke with the attending
physicians.

Hospital sources said Ramisa's mother, who has been mentally devastated by
the loss of her daughter, was admitted to the hospital on June 23 under the
supervision of Prof. Dr. Md. Rafiqul Islam.

In addition to severe psychological trauma, she had been suffering from
digestive, neurological and other physical complications.

According to the physicians, the patient has already received two rounds of
counselling to help improve her mental condition.

At the same time, she is undergoing treatment under the close supervision of
a medical board comprising specialist physicians from different disciplines.

During his visit, Ramisa's mother became emotional and said she still hears
her daughter's voice every day.

Hospital sources said her physical condition has shown some improvement
following intensive treatment and observation.

At the request of the family and on the advice of the physicians, Ramisa's
younger sister was sent home from the hospital today to help ensure necessary
family care.

Professor Islam expressed his condolences to Ramisa's family and assured them
that necessary medical assistance would continue.
