DHAKA, July 3, 2026 (BSS) - Hazaribagh Police arrested 17 people involved in 
various criminal activities during a special operation conducted across the 
area of the capital on Thursday. 

According to a police press release, they were arrested in connection with 
regular criminal cases and outstanding arrest warrants. 

It said the arrested are Emon Hossain Babu, Hridoy (25), Md Firoz (25), Siam 
(19), Atiqul (21), Naim (27), Anwar (28), Shah Alam (22), Md Qayyum (20), Md 
Saju (25), Md Swadhin (19), Md Salman (35), Md Hakimul Gazi (22), Amanullah 
(29), Tara Mia (27) and Md Siam Farazi (19).
 
Police said such special drives will continue to maintain the country's law 
and order and curb criminal activities in the area.
 
The arrested individuals have been produced before the relevant court 
following the completion of legal formalities.
