DHAKA, July 3, 2026 (BSS) - Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested 424 
people and filed 68 cases during its regular operations across the capital 
over the past 24 hours. 

Among those arrested, 41 were detained by the Ramna Division, 26 by the 
Lalbagh Division, 52 by the Wari Division, 48 by the Motijheel Division, 55 
by the Tejgaon Division, 97 by the Mirpur Division, 39 by the Gulshan 
Division, 63 by the Uttara Division and three were arrested by the Detective 
Branch (DB). 

During the drives, police seized 48.100 kilograms of cannabis, 5,218 yaba 
tablets, 15 puria of heroin, four bottles of phensydile syrup, one knife, 24 
mobile phone sets, 1,104 animals and 75-kg of lemons.
 
Different crime and detective units of the DMP conducted the operations in 
various police station areas across the capital, recovering arms and 
narcotics and arresting the suspects. 

Legal action against the arrested persons is underway.
