
DINAJPUR, July 11, 2026 (BSS)- A total of Taka 5.40 crore has been allocated for the construction and renovation of nine educational institutions in Biral and Bochaganj upazilas of Dinajpur district.
The allocated money will be used for constructing three new model educational institution buildings and renovating six educational institution buildings in Biral and Bochaganj upazilas of the district.
Officials said tenders for the construction and renovation works of the educational institutions will be invited in July this year.
Dinajpur-2 constituency lawmaker Sadique Reaz said the allocation was given through the Education Engineering Department under the operating budgets of the Secondary and Higher Education Division and the Technical and Madrasah Education Division.
He said the allocation was made for implementing the construction, expansion, repair, rehabilitation and renovation works of non-residential buildings at private educational institutions in the current fiscal year.
He said Taka 1.50 crore has been allocated for constructing a new non-residential building at Uttar Madhabpur High School in Biral, Taka 1.50 crore for constructing a new building at Paschim Shankarpur Nurul Huda Dakhil Madrasah in the district.
Taka 1.50 crore has also been allocated for the construction of Kodalkati High School building in Bochaganj upazila of the district. Taka 15 lakh each has been allocated for repair and renovation works at Kamdebpur High School, Dhukurjhari Di-Mukhi High School and Board Hat Darul Ulum Dakhil Madrasa in Biral upazila and Adarsha High School, Mobarakpur Junior High School and Ramnagar Dakhil Madrasah in Bochaganj upazila.
