Army continues humanitarian assistance in flood-hit areas of Chattogram

DHAKA, July 16, 2026 (BSS) - The Bangladesh Army has continued its humanitarian assistance operations in different flood-affected areas of Chattogram.

According to a press release issued by the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) Directorate, the army personnel are carrying out rescue, relief distribution and emergency support activities in coordination with the local administration to assist people affected by the recent floods.

Members of the 10 Infantry Division are assisting the local administration in different flood-hit areas, including Banshkhali upazila of Chattogram, the ISPR said.

They are working to evacuate affected people to safer places, distribute relief materials and ensure necessary emergency support for the flood victims.

The humanitarian assistance operations of the Bangladesh Army will continue until the flood situation returns to normal, the release added.
