58 suspects held in anti-crime drives in Tejgaon division

DHAKA, July 20, 2026 (BSS) - The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has arrested 
58 people during coordinated anti-crime operations conducted across the 
Tejgaon division.

According to a DMP press release, the arrests were made on Saturday during 
routine raids in crime-prone areas under the division.

Among those arrested, eight were detained from Tejgaon Police Station, 10 
from Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Police Station, 15 from Mohammadpur Police Station, 
11 from Adabor Police Station, five from Tejgaon Industrial Area Police 
Station, and nine from Hatirjheel Police Station.

Police said the suspects were arrested on various criminal charges as part of 
ongoing efforts to maintain law and order and curb criminal activities in the 
capital.

All the arrested individuals have been produced before the competent court 
for further legal proceedings.
