JHENAIDAH, July 31, 2026 (BSS) - Attorney General Barrister Md Ruhul Quddus Kazal today said ensuring justice for people is the greatest source of satisfaction.

"When the judicial system functions swiftly and justice is firmly established in society, there is satisfaction even if the state loses a case. As Attorney General, I feel happiest when ordinary citizens are assured of justice," he said.

He was speaking at a programme, held at the Kotchandpur Upazila Auditorium in Jhenaidah, organized to accord a reception to reserved-seat lawmaker Advocate Faima Nasrin.

Kazal said the primary objective of the rule of law and the justice system is to safeguard the rights of citizens.

"It matters little whether the state or an individual wins a case. What matters most is that justice is upheld," he said.

He noted that the true success of the judicial system lies in upholding justice rather than determining winners and losers.

Kotchandpur Upazila BNP President Abdur Razzak presided over the programme, while Advocate Faima Nasrin delivered the keynote address.

Maheshpur Upazila BNP President Mehedi Hasan Rony addressed the programme as special guest. Local political leaders, cultural activists, journalists and members of civil society also attended the event.
