DHAKA, Aug 11, 2026 (BSS) – Police arrested 64 people in separate special operations in Paltan and Tejgaon areas of the capital over the past 24 hours.

Of them, 13 were arrested by Paltan Police during a day-long drive targeting people allegedly involved in various crimes, while 51 were arrested by Tejgaon Division police in operations across several crime-prone areas, according to a police press release.

In Tejgaon Division, the arrests included 19 from Mohammadpur, 14 from Hatirjheel, seven from Adabor, six from Tejgaon Industrial Area, three from Tejgaon and two from Sher-e-Bangla Nagar.

Police said legal proceedings have been initiated against the arrested persons.
