DHAKA, Aug 13, 2026, (BSS)  -  A total of 2,369 cases have been settled through the Supreme Court Legal Aid Office, according to a report published on the website of the National Legal Aid Services Organization (Legal Aid), detailing its overall activities from 2009 to July 2026.

The Supreme Court Legal Aid formally began its journey on September 8, 2015. Since then, up to May 2026, a total of 31,037 beneficiaries have received legal assistance.

Direct legal assistance has been provided in 3,457 cases through the Supreme Court Legal Aid, of which 2,369 cases have been settled. The Supreme Court Legal Aid Office has also provided 27,580 legal consultation services.

The National Legal Aid Services Organization, under the Law and Justice Division of the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, is conducting these activities. The services are being provided at government expense under the Legal Aid Services Act to provide legal assistance to financially disadvantaged and incapable litigants.
