DHAKA, Jan 1, 2025 (BSS) - The final match and prize distribution ceremony of Badminton Tournament-2024 organized by the office of Senior Finance Controller (Army) was held yesterday at SFC (Army) premises in Dhaka Cantonment.

In a hard-contested final match, the office of the Controller General Defence Finance (CGDF) team became champion defeating the SFC Army Log Area team, said an Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) release here this evening.

Organized for the first time by the SFC (Army) office, the men's and women's teams of ISPR and 12 offices in Dhaka under the auspices of the Defense Finance Department (DFD) took part in the tournament.

Comptroller General of Accounts SM Rezvi distributed the prizes among the winners and participants as the Chief Guest.

Welcoming the event, the chief guest, in his speech, urged the authorities concerned to continue such events in future for physical and mental development through sports.

SFC (Army) Dr. Tanzina Islam presided over the concluding ceremony of the Badminton Tournament while various SFCs, FCs and employees of different levels of DFD Command were present.
