SATKHIRA, Jan 3, 2025 (BSS)- A friendship cricket match was held today (Friday) in Kalaroa upazila under Satkhira district in memory of the four former student leaders who were tortured and later died in prison in a false case filed over attacking Sheikh Hasina's motorcade.

The friendship match was organized on the occasion of Chatra dal's 46th foundation anniversary.

The cricket match was inaugurated by hoisting the national and BNP party flags at the local Boldfield ground, organized by Kalaroa Upazila Chatradal.

Former general secretary of Satkhira district Chatradal, Momtazul Islam Chandan, former organizing secretary of district BNP Ashraf Hossain, general secretary of Kalaroa upazila BNP Abdur Rakib Molla, joint general secretaries Abdul Quader Bachchu and Abu Bakr Siddique, organizing secretary Sheikh Tamim Azad Marine and Kalaroa Municipal BNP general secretary Sheikh Sharifuzaman Tuhin, among others, were present in the inauguration ceremony.

Earlier, a one-minute silence was observed and prayer was held in memory of those four former student leaders who died in prison in the false case. 

Thousands of spectators enjoyed the friendship match.
