SATKHIRA, Jan 9, 2025 (BSS)- Football striker hunting competition has been inaugurated at Satkhira district stadium marking the Youth Festival-2025 on Thursday.

Organized by the district administration and district sports office, under the annual sports program 2024-25 of the department of sports, Satkhira deputy commissioner Mostaq Ahmed formally inaugurated the competition as the chief guest.

The deputy commissioner said that: “The indomitable power of will of youth can bring success in life. If we change ourselves, this world would change …..your potential would one day make you a player like Messi and Ronaldo. The environment of Satkhira is suitable for sports.”

District sports officer Md. Mahbubur Rahman, former FIFA referee Tayeb Hasan Babu, football striker hunting competition coach Iqbal Kabir Khan Bappi and Bangladesh Cricket Board coach Fazlur Rahman also spoke on the occasion, presided over by additional deputy commissioner of Satkhira (general) Bishnupada Paul.

Four under-16 teams took part in the football striker hunting competition.

Khandkar Arif Hasan Prince, former member of the executive committee of the District Sports Association, conducted the entire program.
