Brothers Union blank Ctg. Abahani 2-0 in BPL

DHAKA, April 26, 2025 (BSS) - Brothers Union Club beat Chittagong Abahani Limited by 2-0 goals in the Bashundhara Group Bangladesh Premier League football held at Rafiq Uddin Bhuiyan Stadium in Mymensingh today.

Gambian midfielder Zakaria Darboc put Brothers Union ahead early in the 13th minute while after the breather, Nigerian forward Mfon Sunday Udoh sealed the victory scoring the second goal in the 76th minute of the match.
 
With day's win, the all orange Gopibagh brigade improved their tally with 18 points from 12 matches while the port city team Chittagong Abahani Limited, struggling to skip relegation in the league, remained at their previous collection of three points playing the same number of matches.

Earlier, in the first leg, Brothers Union defeated Chittagong Abahani by the same identical margin of 2-0 goals held at Birshrestha Flight Matiur Rahman Stadium in Munshiganj.
