Bangladesh faces host Jordan tonight

DHAKA June 3, 2025 (BSS)- Motivated Bangladesh national women's football team faces host Jordan in the second and ultimate match of the Tri-Nation International FIFA friendly series, which is scheduled to be held at King Abdullah II Stadium in Amman, Jordan, tonight (Tuesday).

The match kicks off at 10 pm (Bangladesh time).

Earlier, before the second match, team assistant coach Mahbubur Rahman Litu was optimistic with his girls for a win against Jordan. He hoped that his team would not disappoint against Jordan and would leave the field with victory. 

Midfielder Maria Manda they are fully prepared to face Jordan and is upbeat to win the match. 

Meanwhile, the Bangladesh women's football team completed their final practice had their final practice held at Salt Stadium in Amman ahead of their final match against Jordan.

The girls in red and green showed an impressive performance snatching a creditable goalless draw against the upper-ranked Indonesia in their first match held on Saturday last.

Bangladesh is participating in this tri-series as part of their preparations for the upcoming AFC Women's Asian Cup Qualifiers, where they will face Myanmar, Bahrain and Turkmenistan.

Goalkeepers: Rupna Chakma, Meghla Rani and Ferdousi Akter Shonale.

Defenders: Sheuli Azim, Shamsunnahar Sr, Afeida Khandaker (Captain) and Joynab Bibi Rita.

Midfielders: Monika Chakma, Maria Manda, Munki Akter, Sapna Rani, Kohati Kisku, Halima Akter and Shanti Mardi.

Forwards: Ritu Porna Chakma, Tohura Khatun, Shamsunnahar Jr, Mosammat Sagorika, Shaheda Akter Ripa, Sauravi Akonda Prity, Mosammat Sultana, Nobirun Khatun and Umehla Marma.
