Arguments in plot scam case against Hasina, 11 others on Nov 23

DHAKA, Nov 17, 2025 (BSS) - A court here today set November 23 for placing arguments in a case against 12 including ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina over alleged irregularities in the allocation of a 10-katha RAJUK plot.

Judge Mohammad Abdullah Al Mamun of the Dhaka Special Judge Court-5 set the date as the defence concluded presenting their case today.

One of the accused Khurshid Alam took to the podium in his defence and pleaded not guilty. He, however, refused to produce any witness or give any written statement in his defence.

According to case details, on January 14, 2025, Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) Deputy Director Md Salahuddin filed the case against eight, including Sheikh Hasina, over alleged irregularities in the allocating plot in Rajuk New Town Project.

ACC Assistant Director Afnan Zannat Keya on March 10, 2025, filed the charge-sheet against 12.
