DHAKA, July 4, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh head coach Phil Simmons will be unable to accompany the side in the dressing room during the crucial second ODI against Sri Lanka, set to take place tomorrow (Saturday) at R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.

The head coach travelled to London today for a pre-decided medical appointment.

However, he is expected to return to Sri Lanka on July 7, a day before the third and final ODI of the side.

Bangladesh trail 0-1 in the three-match series following a 77-run defeat in first ODI in which they experienced a sensational collapse, losing seven wickets for just five runs in 26 balls.

They will be looking to bounce back in the second match tomorrow to keep the series alive.
