DHAKA, Nov 16, 2025 (BSS) - Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary General Mia Golam
Parwar today called for the appointment of neutral officials across all
administrative tiers, including deputy commissioners (DCs) and
superintendents of police (SPs), to ensure a level playing field for the
forthcoming national election.

"A fair and credible election would not be possible if individuals loyal to
any particular party continue to hold key positions in the administration,"
he said.

Parwar was speaking at a joint press conference of eight political parties at
the Al-Falah auditorium in Moghbazar at 12:30pm, which came after an earlier
meeting at 11:00am at the same venue where senior leaders of the alliance sat
with Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr Shafiqur Rahman in the Chair.

Jamaat leader said "To create a truly level electoral field, neutral
officials must be appointed at every stage. If partisan officers are placed
within the administration, a neutral election simply cannot be held."

The press conference was conducted by Jamaat Assistant Secretary General
Maulana Abdul Halim.

Earlier, at 11:00 am, top leaders of the eight allied parties held a meeting
at the same venue with Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman.
