DHAKA, April 01, 2026 (BSS) – A Dhaka court today dismissed the bail petition of Sanjay Chisim, accused of assisting prime suspect Foysal Karim Masud and his accomplice Alamgir Hossain in fleeing to India following the murder of Inqilab Moncho spokesperson Sharif Osman Hadi.

Judge Md Sabbir Faiz of the Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge’s Court passed the order after hearing arguments on the bail plea.

According to the case statement, Foysal Karim Masud and Alamgir Hossain opened fire on Hadi while he was travelling in a battery-run auto-rickshaw on December 12, 2025, and later fled the scene.

Inqilab Moncho Member Secretary Abdullah Al Zaber filed the case with Paltan Model Police Station on December 14.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Siddiq Azad on December 20 ordered inclusion of Section 302 (murder) of the Penal Code in the case, which had initially been filed as an attempted murder case, following Hadi’s death on December 18.
