43 crime suspects held in Hazaribagh

DHAKA, Apr 1, 2026 (BSS) - Police have arrested 43 individuals in a day-long special operation targeting various criminal activities in the Hazaribagh Police Station areas.

The drive was conducted on Tuesday in different areas, leading to the arrest of suspects allegedly involved in a range of crimes, according to a press release of the Dhaka Metropolitan (DMP).

During the operation, law enforcement officials also recovered small amount of cannabis and 27 pieces of yaba from the possession of the detainees.

The arrested individuals include Md. Masum (23), Md. Shuvo (20), Md. Mahmudul Hasan (18), Md. Rabbi (20), Md. Kibria (19), Md. Mostaq (22), Md. Shafiqul Islam Saddam (30), Md. Zahid (61), Abdul Kader (59), Md. Rakib Hossain (30), Md. Johnny (26), Md. Russell (36), Kamran Sarkar Annie (25), Tasvir Rahman (19), Md. Faruk Hossain (32), Md. Rifat (19), Tanmoy alias Riaz (22), Md. Delwar Hossain (51), Md. Tushar (18), Abir (20), Md. Rifat Molla (20), Sabbir Hossain (20), Md. Shakil (23), Md. Liton (45), Md. Farooq (30), Md. Sajeeb (21), Md. Shahin Hossain (30), Md. Rashed (25), Sabbir (23), Md. Omar Farooq alias Mamun (49), Debazish Biswas (23), Md. Toufiquzzaman Palash (26), Mohammad Ali (55), Md. Rabbi (19), Md. Selim (35), Md. Rabbi (21), Mehedi Hasan Roni (21), Md. Yasin Hossain Rahat (24), Shuvo Howlader (25), Md. Chandan (25), Abdur Rahman (22), Abdullah (23), and Md. Shahjahan (45).

Police said that all the accused have been sent to the court for legal proceedings.

Officials further stated that such drives will continue to ensure law and order and curb criminal activities in the areas.
