DHAKA, July 8, 2025 (BSS)-The Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of Alhaz Idris Sarkar, father of former national footballer and member of the BFF media committee Zahid Hasan Ameli. 

Idris Sarkar breathed his last on Monday night at his own residence in Barisal at the age of 70, said a press release.

He left behind his five sons, one daughter, relatives host of well wishers and admirers to mourn his death.

In a condolence message, BFF president Tabith Awal ,  senior vice president, vice presidents, executive committee members, general secretary, all standing committees and officials and staffs of BFF have  expressed  their  condolences at the death of Idris and conveyed deep sympathy to the members of the bereaved family.
