DHAKA, Aug 10, 2025 (BSS)- Middle order batsman Rizan Hossain missed out a ton
by five runs as Bangladesh Under-19 team compiled a respectable 269-5 in the
tri-series final against South Africa Under-19 at Harare Sports Club in
Zimbabwe today.

Rizan struck 10 fours in his 96 ball-95, which was key in steering the side
past 250 after a top order collapse that saw Bangladesh reduced to 65-3 after
being asked to bat first.

He got ably support from Kalam Siddiki who made 65. Together they combined
for a 117-run for the fourth wicket to steady the innings.

Bandile Mbatha who took highest two wickets for 50 runs for South Africa
broke the partnership by dismissing Kalam.

Rizan looked set for his century but was denied as he was trapped run-out.
Abdullah then hammered 29 ball-38 not out to help the side finish the things
well.
