DHAKA, Aug 12, 2025 (BSS)- Dubai Capitals roped in Bangladesh pacer Mustafizur Rahman, paving a way for him to play in the International League T20 (ILT20) for the first time in his career.

The Capitals recruited Mustafizur as a replacement of English pacer Luke Wood.

They confirmed Mustafizur's inclusion through their social media handle.

"Bringing in, the best in the Fiz-ness," Capitals wrote in their verified facebook page.

"Mustafizur Rahman has joined us, replacing Luke Wood for ILT20 season 3," The post added.

The owners of IPL franchise Delhi Capital is the owner of Dubai Capitals also. Delhi roped in Mustafizur in IPL's last season when their Australian fast bowler Mitchell Starc was unavailable.

Dubai, however, acquired the service of Mustafizur in direct signing even though the auction of the ILT20 will be held on September 30.

The season 3 of the tournament will kick off on December 2 with the final on January 4, next year.

This will be Mustafizur's sixth domestic league around the world, having already played for Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), Indian Premier League (IPL), Pakistan Super League (PSL), Lankan Premier League (LPL) and England's Vitality Blast.
