Daylong Baseball development training camp held

DHAKA, Aug 13, 2025 (BSS)- The daylong baseball development training camp was held at Mohammadpur Government Physical College today (Wednesday) under the initiative of the Bangladesh Baseball-Softball Association (BBSA. 

Principal of the college Md. Mominul Hasan was present as the chief guest in the programme, presided by BBSA senior vice-president professor Anupam Hossain and its general secretary Talha Zubair, said a press release.

The camp is attended by experienced coaches from the federation, national team players, and emerging talents from across the country.
 
The training provides hands-on instruction in important aspects such as basic baseball techniques, modern training methods and match reading.

Special emphasis is given on enhancing skills and building teamwork at the field level.

The new ad hoc committee of the BBSA has taken a groundbreaking initiative to organise this year-round training camp to further popularize the game of baseball in the country.

According to the committee's decision, team formation and training camps will be organised in a total of eight larger divisions and 12 districts, including Chattogram, Rajshahi, Khulna, Bagerhat, Barishal, Chandpur, Cox's Bazar, Rangpur, Narayanganj, Madaripur and Gazipur by October.

Such initiatives will create interest in baseball among the country's youth and help to take baseball in Bangladesh to new heights in the future.
