CINCINNATI, Aug 15, 2025 (BSS/AFP) - French qualifier Terence Atmane continued his sensational run at the ATP-WTA Cincinnati Masters on Thursday, stunning seventh-seeded Holger Rune 6-2, 6-3 to reach the semi-finals.

Atmane, ranked 136th in the world, followed up his victory over world number four Taylor Fritz with a confident performance against Denmark's Rune and booked a semi-final clash with world number one and defending champion Jannik Sinner.

"I don't think any words can describe how I feel right now," said the 23-year-old, adding that he had trouble sleeping after his big win over Fritz on Wednesday.

"I was just trying to be myself on the court."
