U-17 women's football team leaves for Bhutan

DHAKA, Aug 15, 2025 (BSS) - Defending champions Bangladesh U-17 women's football team departed for Bhutan today morning to participate in the 7th SAFF U-17 Women's Championship, aiming to retain title.

The tournament, featuring host Bhutan, Bangladesh, India and Nepal, will be held in Thimphu from August 20 to 31. The four teams will compete in a double round-robin format, facing each other twice.

Bangladesh will kick off their campaign against Bhutan on August 20, followed by matches against India on August 22, Nepal on August 24, Nepal again on August 27, Bhutan on August 29 and India on August 31. 

All matches will take place at the Changlimithang Stadium, Thimphu.
