U-17 women's football team leaves for Bhutan

DHAKA, Aug 15, 2025 (BSS) - Defending champions Bangladesh U-17 women's football team departed for Bhutan today morning to participate in the 7th SAFF U-17 Women's Championship, aiming to retain title.

The tournament, featuring host Bhutan, Bangladesh, India and Nepal, will be held in Thimphu from August 20 to 31. The four teams will compete in a double round-robin format, facing each other twice.

Bangladesh will kick off their campaign against Bhutan on August 20, followed by matches against India on August 22, Nepal on August 24, Nepal again on August 27, Bhutan on August 29 and India on August 31. 

All matches will take place at the Changlimithang Stadium, Thimphu.  
     
Bangladesh squad: Yearzan Begum, Meghla Rani Roy, Tania Akter Fomi, Arpita Biswas Arpita, Fatema Akter, Umma Kulsum, Arifa Akter, Mst Almina, Mst Resme Akther, Thuinuye Marma, Sauravi Akanda Prity, Kranuching Marma, Reya, Alpi Akter, Protima Rani Joba Rani, Sorovi Rani, Mamoni Chakma, Ishita Tripura, Purnima Marma and Mst Amena Khatun.
