Chess training programme begins

DHAKA, Oct 6, 2025 (BSS)- The chess training programme, for the upcoming FIDE World Cup Chess, has begun today (Monday), said a press release.

The two-month training programme, under the patronization of Bangladesh Olympic Association and organised by Bangladesh Chess Federation, is conducting Russian Grand Master Petr Kiriakov.
 
International Master (IM) Mohammad Fahad Rahman and IM Manon Reja Neer will participate in the FIDE World Cup Chess to be held in Goa, India from October 30 to November 27.

Top players of the country including IM Mohammad Fahad Rahman, IM Manon Reja Neer, IM Md. Minhaj Uddin, IM Abu Sufian Shalik, FM Subrata Biswas, Mohammad Shaker Ullah, FM Mohammad Javed, Anata Choudhury, FM Md. Sharif Hossain, FM Sheikh Nasir Ahmed and FM Nayem Haque and top female players are participating in this training programme.
