DHAKA, Oct 6, 2025 (BSS)-Host Gopalganj district reached finals in both men's and women's division in the Modhumoti zone National Kabaddi Championship held at Bangladesh National Kabaddi Academy in Gopalganj today (Monday).

In the first semifinal of the men's division, Gopalganj district beat Faridpur district by 48-16 points. 

Gopalganj also reached the final in the women's division in this zone. The round-robin league system was played between four teams. Gopalganj reached the finals as the best in the league while Faridpur confirmed the last four spot as the runners-up.

In the day's league matches, Gopalganj defeated Faridpur by 28-26 points while Narayanganj district beat Shariatpur district by 58-14 points.

The finals of both the men's and women's divisions of the Madhumati Zone will be held tomorrow (Tuesday).

Meanwhile, the round of Dhansiri zone has also begun today (Monday) at the same venue. In the first match, Barisal defeated Bogra by 46-34 points while Madaripur defeated Jhalakathi by 54-44 points in the second match.
