Olympic Solidarity Technical Course for Coaches in Fencing' begins tomorrow

DHAKA, Oct 8, 2025 (BSS) - The 'Olympic Solidarity Technical Course for Coaches in Fencing' begins for the first time at Bangladesh Olympic Association (BOA) media center in the capital from tomorrow. 

Bangladesh Fencing Federation chief adviser Lt. Gen (retd) ATM Zahirul Alam is expected to open the nine-day-course as the chief guest, said a press release.

The course will be held under the Olympic Solidarity's 2025-2028 four-year plan, funded by Olympic Solidarity, supervised by BOA and organized by the Bangladesh Fencing Federation.

A total of twenty five coaches from Dhaka and outside the capital will participate in this course. 

The aim of the course is to enhance the skills of fencing coaches in Bangladesh, enhance their ability to provide training at the int'l level, and improve the quality of fencing in Bangladesh.

Dr. Gennadi Tychler, an internationally renowned fencing instructor from South Africa, will be the instructor for this course. 

He serves as the president of the coaching council of the International Fencing Federation (FIE).
