DHAKA, Oct 10, 2025 (BSS)- Three players shared lead in the points table with maximum four points after  the fourth round in the Open section of 42nd National Junior (Under-20) Chess Championships (open and girls) held at Bangladesh Chess Federation hall room today (Friday).

They are FIDE Master Sakline Mostafa Sajid of Bangladesh Army, Mohammed Shaker Ullah of Cox’s Bazar and Oitijja Barua.
 
Swarnavo Choudhury and Md. Nafis Fuad Zahin jointly shared the second position with 3.5 points.

In the girls' category, woman FIDE Master Warsia Khusbu of Bangladesh Navy took solo lead in the points table with maximum four points. 

Woman Candidate Master Israt Jahan Diba following the leader closely with 3.5 points. 

Six players  shared the third positions with three points. They are woman Candidate Master Nusrat Jahan Alo of Comilla, Omnia Binte Yusuf Lubaba of Chattogram, Jannatul Preety of Barisal, Jinnat Akter Shahnaz, Sidratul Muntaha Nafi and Ahona Dey.  

In the day’s open section matches, FM Sakline Mostafa Sajid defeated CM Md Azmaeen Parvez Sayor, Mohammed Shaker Ullah beat Radmim Raha Rajya, Oitijja Barua outplayed Candidate Master Md. Sajidul Haque,  Swarnavo Choudhury split point with Md. Nafis Fuad Zahin, Tushin Talukder beat Awsaf Chowdhury, Rafiul Hasan Pranto defeated Rayan Rashid Mugdho, Azaan Mahmood split point with Afnan Zarif Haque, Siam Chowdhury beat Arham Omar, Ajraf Anan defeated Ailan Afnan Tajwar, Abrar Reazul Ahnaf Mohammad outclassed S M Raiyan Abdullah, Safayat Kibria Azaan overpowered Syed Ibnul Hasan, Sabbir Rahman outclassed Md. Tariqur Rahman, Shayan Meerab Hasan defeated Imad Uddin Ahmed Hasin, Abidur Rahim Manam beat Jihadul Islam, Dutta Ryek Keshor outplayed Farsat Hossain Ayyaan, Mustakim Nafi beat Ibrahim Mursalin and Pranjol Barua beat Mohammad Ashaz Hoque.

In girls’ section matches, WFM Warsia Khusbu defeated WCM Nusrat Jahan Alo, WCM Israt Jahan Diba split point with Jannatul Preety, WCM Omnia Binte Yusuf Lubaba beat Tanjila Akter, Khandaker Anisha Amin split point with WCM Neelava Choudhury, Jinnat Akter Shahnaz overpowered Nusrat Hasan Naba, Ahona Dey beat Jarin Tasnim, Sidratul Muntaha Nafi outclassed Fairooz Zarifa Syeda, WCM Warisa Haider beat Rimjhim Borosha Shaili and Rafia Sarker beat Samia Chowdhury.
